My guess is that it either needs java 
(http://apt.sw.be/redhat/el3/en/i386/RPMS.dag/j2re-1.4.2-11.1.el3.rf.i586.rp
m 
for LEL 3.0) or a specific kernel version. redhat-release is the same in 
LEL as in RHEL.

ArcServe checks the "vendor id" as specified in the *.rpm of the kernel (rpm
-qi kernel).

The Lineox version of the *.rpm lists "Lineox, Inc" as the vendor. Is it
possible to change this on a running system or should we rebuild the
*.src.rpm with "correct" values?
